Founded in 2008, the contemporary Italian label Vivetta was established by the fashion designer Vivetta Ponti. After graduating from Liceo Linguistico Le Mantellate in Florence, Ponti went on to Roberto Cavalli as an assistant designer, later becoming the head designer at Daniele Alessandrini. The label’s launch came soon after Ponti’s win at the prestigious ‘Who’s Next’ competition in Paris in 2008.

Vivetta features collections which exude the fanciful and a light-hearted frivolity. Taking inspiration from the beautiful ephemera of life, such as poetry, dolls, antiques and 60s and 70s tapestries, the collections are homages to a mood, a moment, and a mindset. Combining romantic surrealism with the “Made in Italy’ tradition, Vivetta’s collections marry craft and flights of imagination coveted by the brand’s fan worldwide.

Riffing on illustrations discovered in a vintage circus book, Vivetta’s Autumn/Winter show explored a retro range of Big Top motifs, including pierrots, acrobats, harlequins, fortune tellers, circus horses, flowers and crystal stars

Inspired by the fantasia of fairytales such as The Magic Flute and Cinderella, designer Vivetta debuted a whimsical Spring/Summer 2017 collection with crystallized shapes and fabrics inspired by French tapestries, oriental touches and the broderie anglaise of an English garden.
