Born in Dalian, China, Haizhen Wang has had unyielding passion for art and design since he was a young boy. Haizhen studied in fashion design in his hometown of Dalian and later moved to London for the highly coveted MA degree in Womenswear Fashion from Central Saint Martins.

Following his formal education, Haizhen Wang developed a love for tailoring, and his expertise landed him positions in well-known companies: Handwritten by Tanya Sarne, All Saints, Boudicca and Max Mara. Wang went on to establish his eponymous label in 2010, and has showcased his collections at both London and Paris Fashion Week since.

His collections are designed with a sense of masculinity and individuality and an eye towards classical tailoring and precision.

Designer Haizhen Wang's Autumn/Winter 2016 collection was an ode to all things airborne, with classic aviator uniforms paired with the ‘fil coupé’ technique of loose threads creating a free fall series of silhouettes. Swarovski crystal peeked out of needle-punched Japanese wool in large check patterns, amidst an abundance of leather zip details and exaggerated hand-stitching.

Designer Haizhen Wang's Spring/Summer 2016 collection featured impeccably tailored pieces in greys, blacks, and neutrals - suits with slight feminine flair were paired with wide legged bell-bottom trousers. Clustered Swarovski crystal button chokers were tied with silk ribbons around models necks, with other crystal elements used to highlight the architectural blocking within Wang's sleek evening wear.
