British-based and New Zealand born, Wickstead spent her formative years in Milan and graduated with a B.A in Fashion Design and Marketing at Central Saint Martin's London with Honors in 2007.

After graduating, Emilia worked at fashion houses such as Giorgio Armani, Proenza Schouler, Narciso Rodriguez and Vogue in New York and Milan before returning to London to establish her own label in 2008. Originally making her name as a made-to-measure atelier, Emilia has since expanded her repertoire to include seasonal ready-to-wear collections, which she first started showing at London Fashion Week in 2012.

A favorite of the Duchess of Cambridge, Wickstead is known for her take on modern formalwear that is high-profile yet versatile.

AW 2017 COLLECTION

Delicate floral prints, breezy silks, and transparent layers were styled with smooth velvets, felted wool coats, and high-waisted denim for a rich Fall collection. Colorful crystal pearls added texture and depth to the many lace pieces, a contemporary reference to theatrical Russian costumes.

SS 2017 COLLECTION

Inspired by secret love hotels and romantic rendezvous, designer Emilia Wickstead debuted a Spring/Summer Collection complete with billowing, sherbet toned styles punctuated by floralized Swarovski crystal.

AW 2016 COLLECTION

Inspired by the mad-men esque modernity of the 1960s, designer Emilia Wickstead debuted a graphic Autumn/Winter Collection of high neck sculptural dresses and high waisted gowns in dense horizontal stripes. With the palette running towards the muted tones of the 60s, the collection took a happy, potent deviance from Wickstead’s signature romanticism. Striking Swarovski crystal embroidery was seen throughout the collection, embellishing full skirts and shining amidst prints.

SS 2016 COLLECTION

Emilia Wickstead's Spring/Summer 2016 collection was a feast of rich pastels and fierce florals studded generously with Swarovski crystal. Wickstead's pieces took their inspiration from the 40's and 50's, polished and playful with floral prints and color blocking.
