Dion Lee is Australia's best known name in fashion; the young Aussie designer's quickly ascending star remains the country's largest to date.
After graduating from Sydney Institute of Technology, Lee debuted his first collection at Australian Fashion Week in 2009. Lee was the first designer to stage a runway presentation at the Sydney Opera House in 2010, a memorable morning presentation, which captured the optimism and youthful spirit of Lee's designs. The designer's focus shifted to the international stage in February 2012 with his first showing at London Fashion Week. In February 2013, Lee participated in the International Woolmark Prize as the Australian Finalist.
Lee's looks have been featured in Vogue UK, Vogue Australia, Vogue China, Harper's Bazaar UK, Harper's Bazaar Germany, Harper's Bazaar Australia, Elle US, Elle UK, Marie Claire and more. In April 2013, Vogue US profiled Lee's brand in a feature titled, 'From a Land Down Under.'
Drawing from the athletic elements of the Australian lifestyle, sportswear, surf and swimwear, combined with the technical approach of traditional tailoring, Lee is known for playing with opposites in his looks. Lee has been showing at New York Fashion Week since 2015.
This is Dion Lee's first collection with Swarovski Collective.
AW 2016 COLLECTION
Unapologetically feminine. Designer Dion Lee's Autumn/Winter 2016 collection paired subtle perforated detailing with a sensuous color palette of grey chocolates and deep grey-blacks. The silhouettes featured demure necklines and long, flowing skirts.
