Born in Georgia and based in London, designer David Koma’s name is synonymous with his sculptural, yet feminine body contouring silhouettes. After studying Fine Art in St Petersburg and showing his first collection at the age of 15, Koma moved to London in 2003 to attend the prestigious Central St Martins College of Art of Design.

He graduated in 2009 with a distinction in MA Fashion in April 2009. Wasting no time, Koma launched his label immediately after graduation and has been at London Fashion Week since.

Koma has rapidly become a favorite among celebrities like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Kylie Minogue. His looks have graced the red carpet by stars such as Emily Blunt, Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Miley Cyrus.
In December 2013, David was appointed as Creative Director of MUGLER, the rebranded house of Thierry Mugler.

Riffing on his trademark mix of sporty tailoring, flashbulb glamour and metallic detailing, David Koma’s Autumn/Winter 2016 collection featured Swarovski crystal embroideries inspired by the work of artist Frank Cota. Energetic metal and crystal studwork decorated several looks, from pants to pony suits. Several futuristic looks reminiscent of crop circles mixed in with the sleeker looks for a varied, sophisticated collection.

Tone on tone color embellished with regimented Swarovski crystal lines played up the powerful, restrained silhouettes on Swarovski Collective designer David Koma's martial arts inspired SS16 collection.
